Architectural Committee
The Swan Point Residential Architectural Committee is composed of volunteers appointed by the Swan Point Board of Directors, currently headed by Mark King and Mary Sklarevsky. SPRAC assists unit owners in the preparation of applications, answers questions regarding the Swan Point and Owen Brown guidelines governing the appearance of buildings, reviews architectural and in-home business applications, submits applications to Owen Brown for review, performs periodic exterior inspections, issues inspection reports, and makes recommendations to the Board on modifications and additions to the Guidelines.
SPRAC mails the results of the exterior inspection to unit owners who are asked to correct maintenance problems and compliance violations. The Board of Directors gives repeat offenders a target date for completion of corrections and may fine owners who fail to correct problems.
SPRAC stores a copy of all applications for each unit in the permanent files. The application information is also entered into the Swan Point database for future reference.
The Board of Directors oversees SPRAC. Unit owners may appeal a SPRAC decision on change applications or by-law violation to the Board of Directors, the final appeal body for decisions in Swan Point. The Board will hold a special closed session to resolve the issue.
