Business: Projects for the front entrance lights and mailboxes are moving

Lights/Mailboxes forward. When the mailboxes are installed, the Grounds Committee (GC) will ask Chapel Valley to provide an estimate on pavers and plantings.

Rain Gardens GC believes that rain gardens, as a storm water management system, is infrastructure and, therefore, necessary to prevent erosion. GC views Swan Point as one unit; a long range calendar year plan of projects is planned. This includes plans for spring mulching and landscaping. In January, each GC member will consult the design by Slater Associates, Inc. to pinpoint specific projects to discuss at the next (February) meeting; then from the project list, they will develop a priority listing; and walk the property with a selected contractor to determine cost figures of the targeted projects. The GC will present their findings at the next Board meeting.

Website GC would like to announce on its website, enhancements to Swan Point (i.e., lighting and mailboxes) as well as to publish improvement projects throughout the year. This will be brought to the Board for discussion.

Shrub Pruning GC discussed shrub pruning scheduled for March. It was determined that the same procedure (having homeowners set out stickers) if they do not want pruning.

Summary: GC to target projects, which are to be discussed at the February meeting.

February Meeting Grounds Committee scheduled to meet on Thursday, February 1st. Margaret Miller to send e-mail to organize.
